Transforming Data Sharing and Earning
We were approached by Gener8, a new and upcoming tech company that empowers people to control and be rewarded from their own data. We were tasked to help them refine their brand that would resonate with their audience, before creating a mobile app that would make data visualisation and collection interesting, fun, and rewarding to the user.

Gener8's problem was that they had a great innovative browser that could help users monetise their data, but their brand was not in line with their product, and they needed a mobile app to make users aware of their data footprint through education and data visualisation. Our goal was to create a compelling brand that would connect with their audience and a mobile app that would allow users to easily visualise and understand their data while earning rewards.
To tackle the challenges of creating a brand and a mobile app that met the client's brief, we ran discovery workshops to identify possible solutions and tested them with users and internal teams. We created mood boards, sketches, wireframes, and user flows to refine our ideas and gain feedback from the client as well as their established user base.
Through constant iteration, we developed a brand book that communicates the visual identity, story, tone of voice, and messaging. The mobile app was iteratively designed to allow users to connect their apps and data so they can easily visualise and understand where it goes, and ways to monetise their data through rewards.
The app is visually engaging, easy to navigate, and provides value to the user by helping them monetise their data while keeping it secure. Gamification supports high user retention rates.
The project was a great success, and we were delighted to see that the client was happy with the final product. Gener8 now has over 500,000 users and recently secured €5.7 Million in funding to support the app launch. We are always looking for feedback from our clients and visitors, so feel free to let us know what you think!
